It was only a matter of time before the New York Times ran a story about climate change and Hurricane Harvey. And, it was only a matter of time before the Times had an Op-Ed headline like “Harvey, the Storm That Humans Helped Cause.”
Whenever the Times (or The Guardian for that matter) runs stories or Op-Eds on climate changes: They exaggerate the headline; They rarely if ever include a counter-argument from the loyal opposition; Almost never publish Information that contradicts their alarmism; or Ever refer to any published study that supports a scintilla of environmental skepticism. Whatever happened to an old fashioned debate or discussion.
In the name of science, Luke-warmers like myself would prefer more balanced reporting and less political editorializing. Who knows, maybe the Times and The Guardian might regain some of their lost readership and evaporating revenues.
P.S. It’s worth mentioning that the Guardian has started asking for donations and they have established a not-for-profit to raise money.
